Sounds for a sunny day

Perfect thinking music

How do I know if I love you? Well I sure like your bread and the way that you tucker and straighten your bed. But how do I know if I love you?

Walk around ‘til 3 AM, tell me what I know again, to keep myself from second guessing.

"Running down the highway like a psychopath, all flames and fury honey at my back,"

"Don’t leave me on my my own, left me standing all alone"

Weeks of winter have caught up with my body. I fell very sick this past week. It’s given me time to sort and edit through some of the +4000 images in my archives. Here’s to better days and clear lungs.

Ceiluradh! // St. Patrick’s Day + Fort Wayne

I earn my living at an Irish Pub in downtown Fort Wayne.  J.K. O’Donnell’s has been open and in operation for almost a decade now. Representing a wee bit of Ireland in Downtown Fort Wayne, it has been an humbling and honorable to join their family.

Just don’t tell them my family’s Scottish.

This wasn’t my first time shooting for the pub. In January I provided some photos of dishes, cocktails, and wines for a local foods dinner. Then a few weeks later we hosted an outdoor beer festival highlighting dark brews fit for riders and kings in lands far to the north. Barrel-aged stouts, espresso beans brewed into a blissful abyss, and barley-wines reminiscent of cinnamon, cedar, and casked amontillado.

They honored me by asking me to take photos of ceiliuradh. That’s Irish for celebration by the way. This was their seventh year. As luck would have it, it was an extraordinary event. St. Patrick himself would have been proud.
